Field Service Engineer - Brazil
Job Duties:
  • Completion of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance for KCA’s process gas compressor systems.
  • Travel to the client’s job site location, and supporting the client with required activities related to pre-commissioning, commissioning, or maintenance of KCA supplied systems.
  • Completion of daily reports, trip reports, and other documentation related to field service department.
Skill Requirements:
  • B.S in Mechanical Engineering, or 5 years of field service / rotating equipment experience.
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to take control of a field service assignment.
  • Must display professionalism at all times, and represent the company with the highest standards.
  • Must have rotating equipment / millwright experience to include machinery alignment, and maintenance / mechanic skills.
  • The ability to read blue prints, and P&ID’s is a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate at business level in English and Portuguese (read, write & speak).

Sales Engineer
Job Duties:
  • Assist in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.
  • Analyze and elaborate technical proposal making comments and deviations list; datasheets and proposal drawings; project cost budget and any additional standard request documentation requested from the client to be included in the quotation.
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrating how KCA's product meets the needs of project requirements and various applications.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education, after-sales support services, and assistance during project execution after award.
  • Provide technical knowledge in the design of custom-made products.
Skill Requirements:
  • B.S. Engineering or equivalent.

Project Buyer
Job Duties:
  • Orders material needed for production as required for each assigned project. Ensures materials are delivered timely to meet the Production Schedule in accordance with Purchasing policies and procedures and within the budget.
  • Reviews purchase requisitions for accuracy, pricing, and delivery, confirming the supplier is on the Approved Vendor List and the appropriate approvals are obtained.
  • Handles all direct negotiations with suppliers related to materials purchases, claims and DMR’s in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitors and updates purchase orders issued to suppliers to support on-time delivery and partial shipments.
  • Prepares and distributes RFQ’s, receives and analyzes bids, quotes and proposals.
  • Expedites/defers deliveries of components to support production.
  • Manages order status, updating delivery dates, costs and manages PO cancellations and resolves invoice discrepancies.
  • Reviews drawings and works with Engineering and Quality to ensure suppliers have a clear understanding of the requirements. Ensures PO’s reference latest drawing revisions and provides suppliers with drawings, terms and conditions and customer specifications to procure compliant material.
  • Ensures purchased goods and services meet quality requirements and maintains supplier performance by leveraging buying power and other procurement resources.
  • Manages and report project budget performance.
  • Supervisory duties include Jr Buyer direction and training.
  • Adhere to and enforcement of company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives.
  • Develop and maintain professional supplier relationships.
  • May be required to travel periodically.
Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited university in the following fields: Engineering, Sciences, Business Management, Supply Chain Management or comparable work experience.
  • Two to Four years of global project procurement management experience, preferably in compressors application for oil and gas projects.
  • Certification in Project Management and Supply Chain Management a plus.

Mechanical Designer
Job Duties:
  • Orders material needed for production as required for each assigned project. Ensures materials are delivered timely to meet the Production Schedule in accordance with Purchasing policies and procedures and within the budget.
  • Successful completion of the layout and design for assigned Kobelco gas compressor system projects, per project specifications and Kobelco standards.
  • Develops 3-D designs for General Arrangements, Structural, Piping, Strainers, Headers, Level Bridles and other miscellaneous components.
  • Drafts the production drawings for, Structural, Piping, Strainers, Headers, Level Bridles and other miscellaneous components.
  • Drafts the gas compressor system Piping and Instrumentation Drawings per the Project Engineer's mark-ups and Kobelco standards.
  • Creates bill of materials and purchasing requisitions.
  • Communicates and provides information and technical support to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Mechanical Designer must interface with Customers, Engineers, Managers, Procurement, Production, Cost Control, Senior Mechanical Designers, and the Mechanical Design Manager.
Skill Requirements:
  • Minimum A.S. Degree in Drafting and Design.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, & Microsoft Office.
  • Industrial piping and P&ID drafting work experience is preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD P&ID is preferred.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have good people skills and should work well with the project team and others.
  • Must be self-motivated, and willing to take control of a project.
  • Must have a professional attitude and a willingness to learn.

Production Control Coordinator
Job Duties:
  • Create and issue internal manufacturing schedules regularly to various departments and manage the progress to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Create and issue schedules to assist Project Engineers to provide updates to clients each month.
  • Review progress of drawings bi-weekly and report delays that could impact project delivery to the Production Control Assistant Manager. Discuss delays with Project Managers to alleviate any negative impact on projects.
  • Facilitate bi-weekly meetings with Department Managers in the Engineering Group to discuss status of delayed area on projects.
  • Create and issue procurement delay item list to the Procurement Department if Purchase Order are not issued after two weeks of Requisition issuance. Discuss with the Procurement Department (as needed.)
  • Prepare documents and reports and attend various Production Control related meetings as needed.
  • Ensure all the materials required for outsourcing work have been received and prepare packing lists while coordinating with the Shipping and Receiving Department. Monitor progress of outsourced work and report status to Production Control Assistant Manager and other related departments as necessary.
  • Create and update outsourcing schedules every week.
  • Follow up the status of ship loose materials and warranty materials as needed.
  • Assist material handling as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required or as requested by the Production Control Assistant Manager.
Skill Requirements:
  • 3 or more years of experience as production control coordinator in a medium or large manufacturing environment (preferably in Oil and Gas Industry).
  • 4-Year College degree preferred.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Products including, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.
  • High level of understanding and applications in material planning, supply chain management and production scheduling and planning using ERP Systems (EPICOR/Vantage preferred).
  • Must have skills and experience in document organization.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Must have professional writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have skills in business negotiation, bargaining, time management and business acumen.
  • Must be able to treat all suppliers and vendors fairly and equally.
  • Ability to create and manage production scheduling and planning.
