Field Service Engineer/Supervisor
Job Duties:
  • Travel to the client’s job site location, and supporting the client with required activities related to pre-commissioning, commissioning, advise and make recommendations on mechanical equipment repair, maintenance and /or troubleshooting
  • Performing maintenance and/or overhauling of KCA supplied system components and/or mechanical equipment.
  • Completion of daily reports, trip reports, and other documentation related to field service activities.
  • Generate department standards, procedures, forms for normal work activities. Development of department procedures and standards to improve company productivity. Assist clients with troubleshooting support as needed.
Skill Requirements:
  • B.S. Mechanical Engineering, or 5 years of field service / rotating equipment experience.
  • 3-5 years work experience in field services, rotating equipment environment, or work place. This should not be their first field service job, and internships should not be considered as experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Controls Engineer
Job Duties:
  • Responsible for programming and configuration of PLCs, HMIs and Vibration monitoring systems along with the set up and configuration of various types of transmitters to work with the PLC or the control system. Supports the Electrical Engineers by providing positive feedback for the improvement of Kobelco’s standard documents such as the Sequence of Controls, wiring diagrams, Factory Acceptance Tests (F.A.T) documents, etc.
  • Ability to work independently in various locations domestic and international for long periods of time while acting as a Kobelco Ambassador ensuring that the company is represented well by displaying the highest professionalism possible in order to keep the customers satisfied.
  • Responsible for successfully conducting internal and witnessed F.A.Ts, S.A.Ts and providing positive feedback to the current documents being used in the Electrical Engineering Department.
  • Conducts Pre-commissioning/Commissioning and troubleshooting of the systems in the field and creates and submits Daily Service Reports, customer timesheet, invoicing for billing, travel itineraries, PLC trending, updated PLC and HMI programs and adheres to the company rules and policies.
  • Ability to develop and follow troubleshooting skills to resolve problems and improve the operation of the compressor system and performs wiring and PLC/HMI program modification to ensure the proper operation of the compressor system.
  • Ability to develop Standards, Procedures, and Forms as needed by Kobelco to improve its processes and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor or the manager as needed.
Skill Requirements:
  • B.S. Electrical Engineering
  • Must have proven experience in PLC, HMI logic and programming within different software packages (Rockwell, Siemens, GE ,Omron)
  • Some experience in computer-assisted engineering, design and office software (i.e. AutoCAD, EPlan, Excel, etc.).
  • Moderate to Expert level experience in programming, testing and simulating control systems (i.e. transmitters, control valves, PLC's, and control panels).
  • Valid Driver’s License issued by the state of residence and in good standing.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Sales Engineer
Job Duties:
  • Assist in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.
  • Analyze and elaborate technical proposal making comments and deviations list; datasheets and proposal drawings; project cost budget and any additional standard request documentation requested from the client to be included in the quotation.
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrating how KCA's product meets the needs of project requirements and various applications.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education, after-sales support services, and assistance during project execution after award.
  • Provide technical knowledge in the design of custom-made products.
Skill Requirements:
  • B.S. Engineering or equivalent.
  • Two years related experience
